On 9^th April , 2024, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), through an online meeting, issued a sincere invitation to the branches of CILT and global logistics companies for the CILT International Convention 2024. CILT branch representatives from more than 40 countries and regions gathered online to conduct in-depth exchanges and discussions on the relevant issues of the conference, which also marks a new stage in the preparation of CILT International Convention 2024.

CILT International President Chief Teete OWUSU-NORTEY presided over the online meeting and extended a warm invitation to the delegates from CILT branches and word-wide logistics industry elites. He emphasized that the preparatory working group of the CILT International Convention 2024 has carefully planned a series of exciting agenda, CILT China and Langfang Economic and Trade Fair Executive Committee will also inject elements of Chinese characteristics into the convention, arrange a series of exciting activities, and is committed to providing a warm and considerate service experience for the delegates. He believes that CILT International Convention 2024 will become an ideal platform for the global logistics and transport industry to exchange and discuss the sustainable development of the industry.

The preparatory working group introduced the activities of the CILT International Convention 2024 in detail at the meeting, and showed the participants the arrangements of the venue and hotel, as well as the reception service program of the meeting through pictures. In particular, considering the fact that the convention period coincides with the Muslim festivel of Eid al-Adha, the CILT International Convention has specially prepared a festival celebrations, which demonstrates CILT’s respect for multiculturalism and tolerance for the religious customs of the delegates of various countries.

The participants actively participated in the discussion and put forward many constructive comments and suggestions. The Preparatory Group gave detailed responses to these questions and suggestions and recorded them carefully in order to further optimize the conference programme.

The successful convening of this online meeting not only marks the official launch of the guest invitation work for the CILT International Convention 2024, but also signifies that the preparatory work for the convention has stepped into the substantive implementation stage.
